The Absolute Necessity of Taking Practice Exams

This one really shouldn't be rocket science.

You know what is a good way to train students to do well on the actual SAT or ACT?

Have them practice by taking real SATs/ ACTs, in real test conditions. A 3 hour ordeal. Timed. Proctored.

This is the most efficient and dynamic way to prepare for the test and it really shouldn't come as a surprise.

You know what is a good way to get better at basketball?

To play games. Sure, layup lines may help, and it is nice to work on your goose neck, but there is no substitute for getting the real experience.

Here are the top benefits of taking practice tests:

  1. Identify your strengths and the areas that you need work. We do this using our proprietary portal and score reports that allow students to zero in on the areas where they are struggling and the ways that they can most easily improve. This allows prep to be efficient and effective.

  2. Develop and implement time management skills, mental stamina, and test taking skills that you can only get in a real test setting.

  3. Review your test and delve into areas that are ripe for improvement. That’s also why we created our online portal which gives you access to 15 practice exams with full detailed video solutions.

That’s why in any program with us students take a minimum of 3 full-length, proctored practice exams. Learn more about our programs here.
